New Sink Drain Leaks

Sink drain popup leaks drip due to the threads of the lower half of the popup assembly making a channel allowing the water to drain out. The faucet works great but the drain pipe is leaking under the sink. Under sink leaks can do a lot of damage but they re usually fairly easy to pinpoint and repair. I installed a new bathroom faucet and it came with a new drain pipe and sink drain outlet flange.

The water that is damaging the cabinet or the floor may be coming from the drainpipes the supply. It is leaking down into my bathroom cabinet and getting everything wet.
